Only a few weeks are left before the historic Nov. 4th election and things are heating up. With the presidential race so close, many students are all too familiar with the heated debates and screaming matches of a bipartisan room. Usually it's just one month closer to the end of the semester or to that dreaded research project's due date, but a month means all the much more for UConn 5th-semester and molecular cell biology major Cyrus Thomas-Walker - one month is all he and his band, A Coastline Ending, had to record their debut album, "In The Name of Progression…" "It was fast," Thomas-Walker said. In the past several years, inspiring sports films about the underdog, of upcoming obstacles and of victories past have been as popular and as formulaic as the average romantic comedy. Whether it be "Glory Road," "Pride" or even "The Great Debaters," these sports films often deal with the subject of race. (0) comments

Let's face it, horror movies aren't what they used to be. No one remembers "Dracula" for that time when Dracula was really quiet and waited until everyone was in the room then jumped out of a closet at them. That being said, there is only so much a horror film can do nowadays and still be entertaining to watch. (0) comments
