In the past decade, the technological revolution has led to the near-ubiquity of cell phones - and with this, new standards of courtesy and etiquette that must be considered. Nowhere is this more clear than in college, where the proliferation of cell phones, combined with a generally relaxed classroom climate has led to some of the most flagrant violations of common courtesy. This past weekend UConn was dappled with witches, princesses, school girls and firefighters, but there were surprisingly fewer political get-ups than expected. There was the occasional charismatic Obama or peep-toe- pump-clad Palin, but in general, the political statements were few and far between. (0) comments

The Republican National Committee spending $150,000 on Sarah Palin's campaign wardrobe is not political excess; it is actually proof of good taste. It is ridiculous for Palin to get such an onslaught from the press and the public for looking presentable. Is it a crime for someone constantly in the spotlight to look chic? Honestly, how would you dress if you were going to be seen by millions upon millions of people worldwide? Gentlemen, I hope you'd whip out your most dandy suit. (9) comments

So is it bad that I was so drunk on Halloween that it was 30 degrees out and I wasn't cold at all in my little costume? That's never a good sign. You know you had a good Halloween when you black out and your answer to your answer to your roommate's request that you need to puke is "It's OK, I'm a doctor. (0) comments
