Fiasco wows crowd with 'go go gadget show'

When a male performer takes his shirt off on-stage, it usually feels like needless narcissism. If you're really having that much trouble exciting your fans, you've got bigger problems than your sex appeal. Pasta dinner serves as  HuskyTHON's moneymaker

Students with empty stomachs and a few extra bucks to spare lined up at St. Mark's Episcopal Chapel Friday night, where UConn HuskyTHON's latest fundraising event provided them with heaping helpings of pasta in exchange for a $5 donation to the cause. The annual dinner, which is now in its 10th consecutive year, was the last of a weeklong series of fundraisers marking the 100-day countdown to HuskyTHON 2009, which is set for Feb. (4) comments

World Fest '08 brings  many cultures to campus

All four corners of the world were brought together Saturday afternoon at UConn's World Fest 2008 celebration. The Student Union Ballroom was filled with booths representing specific countries. Each table had its own giant poster board with the country's name scrolled across it, along with pictures, fun facts and flags. (0) comments

Dramatic P.A.W.S.' Monty Python Revue features President Hogan and dirty humor

It was an "owl stretching time" at Konover auditorium for those who attended the Monty Python inspired skits presented by Dramatic P.A.W.S. The play, held on Friday night, consisted of a series of comedic spoofs that were filled with dirty humor and plenty of undeniable irony. (0) comments

Times have changed since the last casting call ladies and gentlemen. This country elected the first black president ever. We only have to wait until Jan. 20 until he sets up shop at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and in the mean time, I am sure Hollywood is salivating at the chance of getting the movie rights for Barack Obama's rise to power.
