Students must protect against identity theft

Students need to take extra precautions to prevent identity theft. With millions of spam e-mails "phishing" for information, and scam deals on the Internet, simply getting caught off guard and clicking on something can ruin college students' credit and cause them to lose money. (0) comments

Connecticut began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples last Wednesday per order of the State Supreme Court, which effectively legalized gay marriage in Connecticut last month. This enormous step toward equality for same-sex couples puts Connecticut at the forefront of the nationwide movement to extend to same-sex couples those rights which heterosexual couples have always enjoyed. When Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence and spoke of the "inalienable rights" of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness," I do not think he intended to grant life and happiness to others at the cost of an individual's liberty.
