What are you thankful for? How about your friends? Your family? All your annoying cousins? Even the hot ones? Thank goodness for cheap boxed wine at family reunions. But what if you don't like boxed wine? What about mulled cider? How do you mull something anyway? Does mulled just mean heated? Can someone Wikipedia that? Is there a difference between between mulled and spiked? How drunk can I get before my parents figure it out? How drunk can I get my underage cousins before my parents figure it out? I hope they don't get sick . (0) comments
I can list a lot of things I'm not thankful for. I'm not thankful for freezing in the morning because Hilltop Apartments' bedroom windows are drafty. I'm not thankful when I think back to sophomore year when I woke up sweating because the heating vents blow directly at the lofted beds in South. (0) comments
Thanksgiving, the first academic break for students since Labor Day, is rapidly approaching, with the end of the semester quickly creeping up behind it. Though most are too busy making plans with family and friends, it is vital to realize that many others will be less fortunate during next Thursday's celebratios. (0) comments
I have noticed that this year, as in years past, the student section for women's basketball at Gampel has a tendency to show a lack of respect to opposing players and coaches during the introductions. Turning your back on them or holding up newspapers to feign disinterest is just rude and an embarrassment to those of us who are UConn graduates. (4) comments
In Favor of Staying in Dorms: Egon Donnarumma • Cost to the students have to be considered as well. With the rising transportation costs, Going home just for one week is expensive, and foreign students have no option to leave anyway • Food aside, it offers students a good atmosphere to prepare for finals and maintain good academic preparedness, as well as allowing students to maintain participation in extracurricular events or sports • CA's are paid and the job comes with responsibilities and obligations.
