It's time to modify your holiday spending

For retailers, 'tis definitely not the season to be jolly. The economy's in a slump, consumer confidence is at its lowest level in 40 years, and visions of sugar plums seem to have been replaced in the nation's consciousness by a dancing horde of foreclosures and defaults. (0) comments

At the beginning of the week, President-elect Barack Obama announced some of his cabinet appointments. While there had been much talk about his plans to nominate former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for the Secretary of State post, it is hard to believe that Obama actually did it. (1) comment

Well, it's December now. Before long, students will be taking finals and then packing up and heading home to celebrate Christmas. It's hard to believe that Christmas is "only" about a month away. Anyone who has watched TV since at least early November has probably seen many commercials with Christmas themes by now. (0) comments

Tailgating a cop while drunk. I know football is improving here, but clearly the players' intelligence is not. While studying for an animal science exam, my roommate asked me if I could imagine what it would be like if people walked around with horns. My response: You mean instead of tails? My girlfriend just asked me what time Store24 closes. (1) comment
