Today is Election Day for all of the municipal governments in the state. Seats on the board of education, town councils and the position of the mayor will be decided. But most college students probably don't even know there's an election happening at all, let alone who the candidates are and what they stand for. (1) comment

The U.S. has always been a mecca for religious freedom - the dream for people in oppressed situations around the world - where the streets are paved with gold and no one is persecuted for their beliefs. But history shows us that reality is much to the contrary, and while it is a nice dream, the only people to have truly experienced that religious expression free from judgment were the first Puritans to settle in the Nantucket Sound area. De facto discrimination and harassment against women persist in almost all areas of our society. But there is one institution that officially restricts women from certain jobs regardless of their merits. That institution is perhaps the most traditional and conservative organization in our country: the United States Military. (3) comments

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. My roommates and I just smuggled 20 biscuits from South Dining Hall. We're already scheming to top that next month. I dropped my flashcards in the toilet cause I was studying while pooping ... I don't think I deserve to ace this test. (0) comments
