Author and anti-racism activist Tim Wise shared his views on race relations in the United States at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts Tuesday as part of UConn's Month of Kindness. Wise is the author of four books including "White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son" and the most recent, "Between Barack and a Hard Place: Racism and White Denial in the Age of Obama. A small group of students assembled in the Student Union Theatre on Tuesday evening with one critical idea in mind: Huskymail sucks. An open forum called "Huskymail Sucks" was led by University Information Technology Services staff members in an effort to assess how UConn students feel about their e-mailing system. (3) comments

Despite the cold New England weather, the members of the recently formed GeoClub gathered last Wednesday in Beach Hall to plan more events for their new organization. The GeoClub was formed this year, parallel to the new geoscience major. "Geoscience was just instated this year …we decided that we should have a club now that the major is official," said Catie Thorne, a 7th-semester geoscience major and secretary of the GeoClub.
