At a young age we are taught the difference between right and wrong, but time and again, public figures demonstrate that sometimes personal interests can get the best of us. In a society that demands instant gratification, it is easy to want to take shortcuts in life as opposed to investing in hard work. (2) comments

Between the H1N1 virus and the controversy of healthcare reform, it is difficult to predict what issue Americans will be left to tackle next. But in a time of uncertainty, numbers remain constant - and in America, the numbers don't lie. Just when you thought things couldn't get any become more worrisome. (1) comment

Too often Americans forget to set aside time to celebrate progress. We dedicate every day to a new catastrophe, and as we do so we fail to realize the gains that we have made, leading to panicked policies rather than sound judgments. And today there is no subject for which our progress is less celebrated than that of environmental issues. (0) comments

These days, increasingly more media critics have been forming rash opinions on current artists. Currently, the opinions from art critics that deem some art as "good" or "bad" have been increasingly unprofessional. Though I do not object to censorship of materials that provoke offensive behavior, people should not suppress art expression by randomly and rashly deeming some works to be "bad" art. (0) comments

Not going to classes today, it's Friday the 13th. He may only be a freshman, but yes I have a man-crush on Alex Oriakhi. Would snorting a line of protein powder make your brain stronger? Because Ihave an anatomy exam coming up, and I'll do anything short of actually studying. (0) comments
