For the Huskies, it was more of the same against Yale Wednesday. UConn's pitching was shaky, but yet again, the Huskies came up big offensively late to grab a 9-6 victory over the Bulldogs. At the start of the game, it looked as though it was going to be another race to double-digit runs.
As students begin to face the reality of the horrific amount of work due by the end of the semester, it would be great if there was something to do this weekend to take our minds off work, not necessarily involving a bottle. Well, consider yourselves lucky because this should be one exciting weekend for sports fans as March Madness comes to its climax, and baseball gets set for its first weekend of action.
As we head into Final Four weekend, the only thing that might detract from the excitement is the fact that it will all be over after three games. However, that was not always the case. Final Four weekend used to mean that you got four games. That's right, four games.
