President George W. Bush is currently in the middle of a trip to Europe meant to re-establish the United States' friendly status with the European Union. Though the Western powers have had very vocal differences in the past, it is essential that all of the involved countries remain on good political and economic terms.

The past several days have been momentous for gay rights activists. First, Feb. 13 was the one-year anniversary of the first gay marriages in San Francisco. Sunday, Fox broadcasted an episode of "The Simpsons" featuring gay marriage and England announced the passage of a bill granting "same-sex couples the right to form legally binding partnerships" on Monday.

All right UConn, the moment you have been waiting for since last Wednesday has finally arrived - the top five reasons why America sucks. Though we all say, "sucks," many do not know its actual meaning. Remember that we are using the official dictionary.

Shortly after the illegal Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990, the United Nations Security Council, with strong support from the United States, imposed strict sanctions on Saddam Hussein's regime in order to weaken the country's economic ability to wage further wars and to threaten the region.
