According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, at least 50 percent of sexually active people will get the human papillomavirus (HPV) at some time in their lives. Every year in the United States, about 6.2 million people get HPV, which is an alarmingly large statistic. (1) comment

Policies such as No Child Left Behind seem to stress the importance of education, but education has been left behind in the rush to appear more educated. This irony is not only limited to No Child Left Behind, but many other education policies as well. Recently, Jackson, Miss. (3) comments

Campus Safety Cannot Be Ignored Dear President Hogan, On the eve of your inauguration, I write to you as a parent and interested observer of the University of Connecticut campus at Storrs, and of the tragic events of Jan. 20-22, 2007 on that campus.
