12:55 a.m. - Police charged Angelo Tucci, 20, of Stratford with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance or less than 4 oz. of marijuana. Tucci was stopped for operating a vehicle without having his headlights lit. After a brief investigation, Tucci was found to be in possession of 1.3 grams of marijuana and a glass smoking pipe.

10:04 a.m. - Police charged Victor Smith, 24, of Ashford with threatening, second-degree unlawful restraint and second-degree breach of peace. Smith was taken into custody on a warrant for his arrest stemming from events that occurred on the UConn campus on April 2. Smith was accused of grabbing a person, causing a disturbance in a public hallway. He later made threatening phone calls to the individual he grabbed.



11:31 p.m. - Police charged Kevin Boucher, 22, of Farmington with failure to display reflecting license plates, failure to obey a stop sign and operating a vehicle while under the influence. Boucher was stopped in Staff Lot 9 for failing to display a safety number plate on his motor vehicle. Officers suspected that Boucher may have been drinking and subjected him to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed.

1:28 a.m. - Police charged Matthew Shirley, 23, of Cromwell with operation of a vehicle while under the influence. Police stopped Shirley at the entrance of the Celeron Square Apartments complex because they were checking for resident parking passes. Officers suspected Shirley to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, at which time he was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed.

1:53 a.m. - Police charged Franklin Vera, 19, of Wethersfield with failure to drive right and operation of a vehicle while under the influence. Police stopped a vehicle operated by Vera for crossing the double yellow line several times on Hunting Lodge Road. Police suspected that Vera was intoxicated and subjected him to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed.
