Football: Davis Awaits NFL Draft

PREPARED FOR ANYTHING

Each day this week, The Daily Campus will highlight one UConn football senior and his chances of being selected in this weekend's NFL Draft. Dan Davis isn't na've. He knows that, despite helping to bring the UConn football program to new heights this past season, his chances of drafted in this Saturday's NFL Draft are slim. (0) comments

Matt McDonald will be handed the ball today with the task of helping the Huskies bounce back from a week that handed them four losses in six games. But McDonald will have another mission against Fairfield - redeeming himself. One week removed from a two-and-two-thirds-innings effort in which he gave up seven hits and seven earned runs against Northeastern April 14, a game that ended in a 9-6 UConn loss, McDonald will take the mound today against the Stags (11-24) at 3:30 p. This past Sunday the NASCAR Nationwide series went south of the border to Mexico for the fourth year in a row. In the now-annual road course race, Kyle Busch outdrove the rest of the field and won. Again. In what has become the status quo in NASCAR's three most prominent series - Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series, and the Craftsman Truck Series - Kyle Busch has been found in victory lane at the end of the race.
