Thanks to the Broadway musical "Rent," most everyone knows that there are 525,600 minutes in a year. That's equivalent to 365 days and roughly 52 weeks. Yet, in the academic year, there are fewer total days, meaning fewer total minutes. That in no way, however, means that fewer landmark events caught the eye of Americans everywhere. As the school year comes to a close and graduates commemorate their best times at the university, here is a look at the biggest things from the 2007-2008 academic year in the news. (0) comments

Some graduates like to take the summer off after senior year, reflecting on what's to come. Some will go straight into the work force. Not Tom Chiari. Instead, this soon-to-be UConn graduate, with a double-major in journalism and political science, will be driving all over the U.S and into Mexico touring with his band, Hostage Calm. (0) comments

When graduating, it is hard to find one song to entirely encapsulate all the memories and moments here at the University of Connecticut. There is no tune that can fully recreate the moments in the dining hall, the cheers at Gampel, or the nights out with friends.
